FENN Hosts Government Officials

FENN had the pleasure of hosting Lieutenant Governor Nancy Wyman on Monday, October 26, 2015. The Lieutenant Governor met FENN employees, CEO David Somers, President Paul Uccello and the FENN leadership team. Lt. Gov also participated in metal forming shop demonstrations with FENN Sales Engineers. Other officials in attendance included Representative Joe Aresimowicz, Majority Leader, Rachel Rochette Mayor of Berlin, and Christopher Edge, Economic Development Director of Berlin.

The Lieutenant Governor discussed with FENN leadership and local officials the importance of maintaining manufacturing in Connecticut, with the addition of investing in manufacturing education, saying “Fenn-Torin is a great example of manufacturing in Connecticut — and why we need to continue investing in manufacturing education and incumbent worker training.”

FENN recently hosted an Open House on September 17, 2015 celebrating their new location in East Berlin and remaining in Connecticut for over 115 years of manufacturing. FENN is a manufacturer of highly customized machinery, each designed to satisfy a specific metal forming application. Through innovative solutions and perseverance in a fierce global market, FENN remains one of the last few manufactures of its type still in operation across the globe today.
